This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, the editorial board, peer reviewers, and the publisher (the Research and Community Service Institute of Al-Utsmani Islamic College, Bondowoso, East Java, Indonesia). These guidelines are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Purpose of Publication The publication of an article in Ihtirom: Journal of Islamic Education Management is a significant contribution to the development of a coherent and respected body of knowledge. It directly reflects the quality of the author's work and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles uphold and embody the scientific method. Therefore, it is essential to establish a consensus on the ethical standards expected of all parties involved in the publication process: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the wider community.

Similarly, the Editorial Board will facilitate communication with other journals or publishers when necessary.
Publication Decisions The editor of Ihtirom: Journal of Islamic Education Management is responsible for determining which submitted articles will be published. Such decisions should be based on the validity of the research and its significance to researchers and readers. The editor may be guided by the journal's editorial board policies and subject to legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor may consult with other editors or reviewers when making these decisions.
Fairness Editors evaluate manuscripts based solely on their intellectual content, regardless of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisors, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.
Duties of Editors Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit (importance, originality, validity, and clarity) and their relevance to the journal's scope. The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the journal's editorial content and publication schedule. Editors and editorial staff will maintain the confidentiality of all articles. All submitted articles undergo peer review by at least two experts in the field.
