PENINGKATAN LITERASI KEAGAMAAN REMAJA MELALUI KELAS TAHSIN DI SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI TEGAL PASIR JAMBESARI DARUS SHOLLAH BONDOWOSO

This community service activity aims to enhance the religious literacy of youth through the Tahsin Class program in Tegal Pasir Village, Jambesari Darussolah District, Bondowoso Regency. The background of this activity is the low level of Qur’anic reading ability among youth and the lack of structured and sustainable religious learning activities. The program was implemented by students of STAI Al-Utsmani Bondowoso in June 2025 using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which focuses on developing the community’s local potential. The implementation method consisted of observation, program planning, the Tahsin Class over eight meetings, and learning evaluation through pre-test and post-test. A total of 25 participants were assessed on the accuracy of makhraj pronunciation, tajwid application, and reading fluency. The results showed an average improvement of 24.5%, from the Fair category to Good and Very Good. The activity also had a positive impact on increasing youth participation in religious events and strengthening their spiritual character. Therefore, the Tahsin Class effectively improved the religious literacy and spiritual character of youth.
