PENDAMPINGAN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM MULTIKULTURAL DALAM MEMPERTAHANKAN NATIONAL IDENTITY

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide a deeper understanding of multicultural Islamic education assistance in maintaining students' national identity. This program adopts a partnership approach (community-based participatory research) by involving Islamic education teachers as well as eighth-grade students. In this service activity, the participants consisted of 4 teachers and 25 students. The program was conducted from February 1 to April 1, 2025, at MTs. Karomullah, located in Betek Village, Krucil Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. The implementation of the program consisted of three stages: (a) site survey, strategy development, and socialization; (b) execution; and (c) monitoring and evaluation. The findings of this community service activity indicate that the multicultural Islamic education assistance in maintaining students' national identity at MTs. Karomullah Krucil Probolinggo includes the following activities: a workshop on Multicultural Islamic Education and National Identity, production of educational videos on Multicultural Islamic Education and Patriotism, creation and display of posters promoting Multicultural Islamic Education and Patriotism, integration of multicultural Islamic education values into the madrasah curriculum, and incorporation of multicultural values into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning materials.
